Can you explain your intake setup? How does the Amal perform?

Nothing that I can see -- what do you see or not see?
Also, not to belittle your photography, but what did you take the pictures with, a cell phone? 480x360 resolution is not suitable for the Gallery as it loses too much detail, such as what that red/white sticker on your tank says.

For a couple of days I could not get the world map to come up at all, the only thing showing were all of the individual posts...like these.
The intake is a 6" velocity stack with a microscreen filter.
The Amal carb performs very well. Right out of the box it was good to go, perfectly adequate for regular cruising. I adjusted the pilot screw a little and that was all. I plan on playing with the needle settings some more to see how much of the performance side can be improved, but that will have to wait for a week or so....got to go play with a BRAND NEW GRANDSON.
As far as the pics are concerned, they were taken with a basic digital camera. Nothing fancy or expensive but adequate for the job.

Paladin,
The little red and white sticker on the tank is a "Webcam" item (they reground my cam for me), forgot it was even on there.

Cool. What did you have to do to make it fit?

Amal is a pretty easy fit, actually. Lancer sent me the carb, intake flange, and throttle cable. The longest part of the install was fitting the cable to the stock throttle cable housing on the handlebars - finally bushed the connection with an empty 38 special hull and then drilled it out to the size of the cable tube.
The carb inlet is bigger than the stock Savage carb, but the filter box boot actually stretched enough to be a temporary fix. Scouting out a suitable K&N now...

Neck plasma cut ,lengthened 2 inches top of frame and 4 inches on bottom for a 45 degree rake. Tubes changed from 24 inches to 42 inches. Straight pipe exhaust. Aftermarket turn signals. Slight mod on swing arm to accept 150 x 90 x 15 tire. Frame cut right at shocks and rebuilt for 13 inch wide seat. Suzuki Intruder 1400 gas tank still uses stock gas cap and petcock, 2 inch spacers on back of gas tank to keep tank bottom away from frame. Tag and brake light relocated on side of wheel.
More to come: Tall sissy bar, 230 back wheel with new swing arm, new handle bar, round rear fender, thanks for this site,Jessec Ray

LOL.. my property slopes (you can see in the 1st picture above) it has a celler door that opens at almost ground level so it is just a step up to get it in and out for a nice cozy spot for it in the winter

Here's a picture of my new 2000 Savage in Pittsburgh, PA:
The only mod is the Jardine pipe. I'll take more once I get finished with the MSF and get to ride it around more often.
