After a bit of research I find that the S+S super E carb 1-7/8 inch only has a venturi of 39.6 whereas the FCR41 has a venturi of 42 mm strange.

Greg could You please send Me a pic of savages combustion chamber, I'd like to see if they are using twin swirl combustion chambers (TSCC).

Suzuki claims that the Savage has TSCC, but the only thing that I can understand about the contruction is the way the flow is directed through the intake and the exhaust ports.  Both have a casting between the 2 valves on each end that splits the flow.

To me the head just looks like a plain old head.  Here you can see the "EX" marking for the exhaust valves.

Yes they are.  They are the only ones with access without taking it all apart.....and nearly impossible to get a torque wrench on  Sad

Find a spanner to fit,cut it down and weld a socket on, that'll let You use a torque wrench. the spanner needs to be as short as poss but long enough to do the job. It's not 100% but it is consistant.

Need to measure what the additional length from the spanner adds to the torque wrench and calculate a lower torque value, too.

I think if You have the torque wrench ay 90 degrees to the spanner it will read true.

You are quite right, but actually getting something on that nut is a challenge because of the closeness to the cylinder.  I've just gotten to where I torque the 4 main nuts and use my "calibrated elbow" on those 2 smaller ones  Shocked
