Some of you older folks will remember buying a motorcycle from a catalog. This one still has it's funky early 70's paint job.

gazab, that sucks!

My other ride is a 2004 V* 1100 with 25k miles. Starter motor gears finally went. At the shop right now under warranty.

needs spoked wheels...

and my $75-not-been-run-in-20-years-(yet) 1975 yamaha RD 350 2-stroke

and of course, my savage, which I sometimes call a "rat fighter" despite the fact it's not really hopped up...

boy, it sure is clean in this pic!

At the moment just my 2003 Savage and a 1971 Suzuki TS125 that I'm restoring for my dad. He had one back when my parents first met and started dating. I picked it up for $200 in good shape and running strong, and am working on building it back to match his that he had using discussion with him and old pictures. Hoping to be able to give it to them for an anniversary gift soon. Missed their 30th, but maybe for their 31st...

And of course, I'm planning on adding a bigger bike for travelling on here in the near future.

I'm selling the maroon Savage and I'm planning on buying a Yamaha ZZR250 as a second every-day-bike

I've been a rider for 49 years now , and can't even remember all the makes I've owned and ridden . Last year , I had a 72 Yamaha RD350 that i picked up at a garage sale and turned into a cafe racer . I had to get rid of it before it got rid of me . Way to fast . At this time , I own and ride a 2000 Savage and a 1981 iron-head sportster . I probably wont quit riding until they pry my dead hands from the handle bars . RIDE TO LIVE

I used to luv the RDs(that smell of 2-strike).....my late teen era. I never actually had one but most of my mates had a RD of some kind...awesome bikes for their time, and they seem to be making a come-back over here.

Hello, Over the years I've had maybe 30 or 40 different bikes, Right now I'm down to.
2002 Vstar 1100 Classic
1973 Harley Sprint (Aermacchi 350)
1972 Triumph 650 Tiger
1969 Triumph 250 Trophy
And last but not least my Wifes 1992 Savage
The garage is full and if I bring another one home I may have to look for someplace else to live.

Hi Perry! It's your long lost neighbor to the south...

I do love my Savage and I have an 800 Intruder, but I would caution you to either make SURE you are comfortable on the Intruder, or be prepared to invest in forward controls. I love my Intruder and it's a great bike, but even my little 29 inch inseam legs start to feel a little cramped after a couple of hours of riding.

The design of the stock Savage foot controls is much more comfortable than the Intruder.
