The previous owner put on a supertrapp exhuast system and I think he made attempts to adjust the fuel/air screw. What is it suppose to be set at one,one and a half or two turns? How do I tell if it is at peak setting? I have changed the plug twice because it is burning rich and I can't seem to get it right. Please help. ???
Start at 1 1/2 or 2 turns out, start with about an 1/8 turn and go up a little waiting abit in between each adjustment. listen to the revs, you are trying to peak out the rpms. difficult at 1st cause you haven't listen to it as much as a barking sgt. but you get the hang of it. About a half turn and it should be about to die in either direction.
You got a '96, how many miles? Where you at?
