Yes my stroke is only 83mm.

Some say that is isn't the stroke that counts Grin

The original post is old, Nov 03.

In both the old forum and in the new style, you have the ability to delete your profile.

The nature of forums, they log replies and the entry normally keep the ussr ID.   I would think that the Ex-Member is the way it shows when someone deletes their profile.....

That's one of the reasons the Savage slightly "outperforms" the KLX below 4000 rpms, but gets crushed above 4000 rpms...

A 94mm stroke vs. 83mm creates quite a bit more peak piston speed.  Even though I'd guess the 94mm Suzuki piston is lighter than the 100mm Kawi piston, that doesn't compensate for the difference in peak piston speed.

Anyone know the length of the Savage connecting rod?

Clive, do you know the length of the Kawi connecting rod?

Can not find rod length but KLX mean piston speed is 20.75 m/s @ 7500 (red line)and Savage mean piston speed is 20.37 m/s @ 6500.

Just need to drag out the old calculator with (Pi R2) x Stroke = 650 cc formula.  Work it backwards with the bore and displacement to get a good guess at the stroke...

It's elementary...Tongue

They have 33 HP according to the certificate of origin per Suzuki dealer!

The manufacturer's certificate of Origin?  How hard was that to get?
