Title: Re: Here's your weirdo Post by Eegore on 08/28/25 at 18:51:13 I think religion had something to do with it too. He had multiple anti-religion statements, Jesus on a shooting target etc. and targeted his own Catholic school. Also two of my cousins are literally being paid to make pro-trans anti-Trump posts in reaction to this. They are making well over 100 posts a day. |

I tend to think nature is the foundation but nurture keeps serious outbursts in check for 99% of people. But it is a serious topic for debate. Does the easy access to weapons makes those outbursts easier to manifest themselves with catastrophic results? Clearly, I would have to say that answer is yes, but how to balance these very rare catastrophes with everyone else is freedom? |

Does the easy access to weapons makes those outbursts easier to manifest themselves with catastrophic results? Clearly, I would have to say that answer is yes, but how to balance these very rare catastrophes with everyone else is freedom? This is pretty much American public debate on most things. Would we have fewer automobile related deaths if we reduced access to automobiles? Yes. The amateur argument to this would be how many used cars are out there, so limiting the incoming number would make no difference. This ignores that newer faster vehicles kill more than used vehicles. But it also outlines the problem of massive amounts of legally owned and operated vehicles. So when does safety from automobile deaths start to infringe on US freedoms? There of course is the primary difference that automobiles typically require some sort of education to legally own and operate where gun ownership does not in many locations. Also the level of Constitutional protections are significantly different. The point however is yes, reducing automobile access will reduce automobile related deaths - but people will try to argue that using flimsy math instead of addressing useable solutions. |

This is why I used the word "typically" and not always or only. You are correct, licensing applies to public roadways. ANYONE, can 'buy/own' a car etc, take it home on a trailer, and drive it around private property all they want. In the interest of being perfectly correct and minuscule about something there are restrictions to purchasing or owning property in the US if you are a minor, however minors can operate vehicles on public roads if properly licensed to do so. So not ANYONE can buy/own a car legally since many States do not allow minors to enter into an ownership agreement on the Title of the vehicle without adult assistance. |

Not registering that car. Not getting Insurance on that car. Not Driving that car on roads. Not having a dealer/private party refuse, just because don't know. Just Buying it. In the interest of being perfectly correct and minuscule about something, I never said 'just buying it" I said "on the Title of the vehicle" which in multiple states constitutes legal ownership. In general, yes, humans in the US can purchase a vehicle and never take it on a public road and claim ownership. When these vehicles enter things like estate sales or probate court, the ownership has been challenged due to lack of State title. It is not common, but humans purchasing vehicles as a minor with no State Title have had those vehicles awarded elsewhere, like in divorce settlements for example. As indicated, if vehicles were made less available, then yes there would be fewer automobile related deaths. It would however require the vehicles be placed into situations where they would impact other humans. |

Title: Re: Here's your weirdo Post by WebsterMark on 08/30/25 at 04:20:14 Of course if new gun sales were completely outlawed, there would be fewer gun murders. But 400 kids a year drown in backyard swimming pools which is more than random mass shootings and there are far fewer backyard pools than guns. So it’s statistically more dangerous to let your kid swim at a neighbor’s pool than go to school. Is that a ridiculous comparison? Maybe, maybe not. |

It would be less ridiculous if mentally unstable humans were taking pools to schools drowning kids in them, or taking one to a concert and drowning 20 people in it. What you present is similar to humans that are afraid to fly, even though statistically automobile accidents are statistically more lethal. Or parents who are afraid of a stranger in a van kidnapping their kids when most predators are on their phone, or a family member. |

Title: Re: Here's your weirdo Post by Eegore on 08/31/25 at 12:02:21 how does having more rounds equal accuracy? I never said more rounds = accuracy. You made that up. I was responding to the comment: "there is no defense for 30 round mags." My opinion is that there is a defense for 30 round mags. A guy could have 10,000 round mags, but if I shoot first - with more accuracy, I can defend against 30 rounds. 100 rounds, a million rounds, all I need is to shoot them first - AND be accurate. Shooting first but being inaccurate and missing the target is not a defense against a human with 30 round mags. So shoot first AND ALSO be accurate. All you need is to be continually armed and always be faster and better than the murdering psychopaths. |

I KNOW Why the second amendment exists. And War is exactly why it's there. America only Exists Because our forefathers Went to WAR against the tyrants. Title: Re: Here's your weirdo Post by Eegore on 09/03/25 at 09:09:57 kill someone if you have to? layout an instance where you may have to do that some kids playing ding dong ditch? My mother was killed in her home during a home invasion. While we can't say for sure, she most likely would have killed him before he tortured and killed her. I would have had I been there. My neighbor had 2 men entere his garage while he was working on a car, they hit him with a metal pipe, while he was on the ground one said they can't have any witness and grabbed gasoline. He kept a pistol in an ankle holster when he worked on vehicles, he pulled it and killed one of the assailants. One of my employees was walking to her car when an obviously disturbed man with a knife was approaching her, she pulled her weapon and shot him once in the chest. Video footage showed he had already ran down and stabbed a woman 12 minutes prior. Of course internet warriors will say they would have done it different and spared the lives of the murderers. |

Title: Re: Here's your weirdo Post by Needles on 09/03/25 at 09:30:48 I've never had any problems with people defending themselves. Statistically, however, civilian shootings are 2 shots or less. And, also statistically, the most people killed in the US are killed with a .22 rimfire. In other words, pretty well ANY revolver or even a 2 shot derringer are adequate for normal self defense situations. You're very unlikely to have to stave off a John Wick style home attack. Semiautos, automatics, and 30 round magazines are not necessary. Semiautos should be treated like full autos--- you should need a special license and be open to search at any time, just like people who own machine guns. ::) ::) ::) ::) ::) |

Title: Re: Here's your weirdo Post by Needles on 09/04/25 at 07:45:13 You know, if you didn't HAVE all the war guns, maybe there would be less chance of a bunch of thugs coming for them. It would still take a LOT of thugs to justify a 30 round magazine. Unless you're saying that you KNOW you can't shoot worth AF. In that case, you shouldn't have ANY firearm. ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D |

He got our support Because he burst on the scene Saying things that We had been wanting Someone to say. Doing things We had been Wanting someone to Do. He got our support by being The Guy WE have been wanting for decades. Unlike the leftards, we can actually be critical of Trump, Our President. They can't find anything to be critical of bidumb for. I've done it enough that I'm not going to here,,but Trump has been wrong,IMO |
