I started her up for the first time this season.

The shop adjusted the valves while it was getting the head plug replaced this winter.

A relative suggested in the attached video that he thought the valves were off.

Do you think this 'sounds OK?

It's hard for me to tell from the audio. I hear mostly exhaust. You almost need a before and after. You'd obviously be the best judge of that. I also have to put my ear next to the head to really decide if I'm happy with my valve lash adjustment.

A little ticking is okay. When they are really quiet is when I wonder if I didn't leave enough clearance possibly causing the valves to not fully close.

Do I understand correctly that you did not adjust the valves after installing the cylinder head?

I’m saying you need a audio recording of before and after to compare sound. I’m assuming he meant the shop adjusted the valves after they replaced the plug cap.

so of course the snow is coming back - so I will let you know how I made out later in this month / early next
