I’m not one to fall in love with a bike that’s all angles designed with a ruler ! But it does have nice lines that all don’t meet. Modern but classic styling not quite a retro but close enough to slip into that category. I get y’all need your touch screen to FEEL connected , and wouldn’t want you feeling lost and alone. But dash is ugly , not effort applied to make it blend in. It’s ugly enough to make me walk away. The rest of it I like , kinda reminds me of  the Husky 701. Very cool Zipi

Ya know Zipi I actually like this bike if you took an AXE and in one clean swing remove that dash and maybe some wider bars( of course). It’s a beautifully designed bike and they stacked all that crap on the bars , what were they thinking , maybe we wouldn’t notice !
Dumb,dumb,dumb,dumb,dumb

Good eye Zipi.  8-)

The more I look at it the more the dash repels me , it’s a freakin tv set on the bars. Mark that bike off the list. That’s too bad the rest of it has killer styling , looks fast standing still and I love that illusion.

I’d devo it !
Devolve it just a few years !
Put a Savage engine in it !
Dump the flatscreen in the garbage !

It is ugly as crappity smack. Just like its name.
The only thing I like are the weels and the brake resorvoir.

Holy mackerel, don't hold back! I never even looked at the dash, the profile alone hit me between the eyes. Y'all probably will hate some of this style of house (which I love!)

I'm not digging every detail but it's okay.

I don't mind this angle.

But when I heard they purchased the remains of Alta Motors I was hoping they were going to do this:

yep, why does it have to look like I would be riding a tv set down the road.

A blacked out windscreen would be just fine.

Not likely.  Can-Am isn't going to sell junk.

That Alta is the only electric bike I would own. You can Thank Harley for their demise.  >:(

OK, so an E-bike just needs a digital speedo and trip, so the big box is is overkill.
There may be another reason for Can-Am to announce now: Get a jump on the competition?
I live 5 miles from these guys: https://damon.com/, a new start-up.
But why would a new company simply copy every other sportbike on the road?
At least Can-Am can design for all of the 'non-racers' buying bikes! I still love it!
A big caveat though is price. 'Zero' bikes are priced sky high. Can-Am will probably follow.

If that giant dash was let’s say more than dash. A Replicator, motorcycle a cup of coffee please, motorcycle a beer please. Then I would consider it !

On a whim, I drove past the factory this afternoon. Newly completed, not a sign in site, likely empty, no bikes on the road until '26 or '27 after regulatory approval (CSA/UL etc.). How will the market have changed by then?
Vaporware?

I am likely never to own an Ebike in my lifetime.  I don't need to daily commute to work anymore, and buying a $10K - $20K motorcycle to run local errands is not realistic.

I ride for enjoyment, and my local rides are generally within the range of an Ebike......100 miles or so after working in the yard.  However, on those days I go for an extended ride I often go 300 miles.  When we go to ride the mountains a 200-300 mile day is routine, and we sometimes get pretty far away from camp.  It is nice to be able to just stop and fill up the tank with gasoline when needed.....it only takes a few minutes and gives me an opportunity to stretch my legs and do that other necessary release of body fluid.

I just can't imagine adding the stress of knowing my range is limited by the battery power - I like being able to get back home without worrying about my "range".  It actually equates closely to limiting yourself to riding for just 1 tank of fuel - leave with a full tank and get home before you run out of gasoline.....I am not willing to do that.  And when you go riding in the mountains - there is no campsite that I know of that has the facilities to charge your Ebike.....you better bring a generator (but then you are going to be using "Fossil Fuel" and really haven't done anything to be "green".

Owning an Ebike or Ecar just feels too much like being in a glider plane.  You just can't get too far away, and you better make plans to be home before you run out of altitude (or battery).  A Hybrid just seems to make a lot more sense to me.  Use the battery when you can - use fuel when you have to.

I could see myself owning an electric motorcycle or some other EV (https://www.dictionary.com/browse/ev). I use my motorcycle for commuting more than for pleasure so having less maintenance appeals to me.

I have a couple of e-bikes (https://www.dictionary.com/browse/e-bike) that I ride now, but they are pedal-assist bicycles.

I have to feed it , then it pays it back to my ego. Loud & fast feeling the machine as if it were alive eating the road as she goes. Just nothing like big singles ! I might try a weed whipper with wheels but I won’t buy one. More embarrassing than a Prius.
