Title: Oil Leak Around exhaust Post by joe H on 05/18/22 at 06:41:07 Hello all, so my future son in law got a savage 650 this winter, and on the days where the temp is over 70, he has the oil leak problem. I looked all over the net and it seems this is due to a gasket that goes over a bolt in the head, I'm having trouble finding the "teardrop shaped" gasket anywhere, so I was hoping for some help. Thanks in advance! Joe |

Title: Re: Oil Leak Around exhaust Post by SoC on 05/18/22 at 15:02:18 As I am installing a new head plug right now, I myself have looked at the o-ring in question. It is on parts list and diagram, it just does not show as diagram is looking from top of head over. I am not replacing mine even though Clymer’s recommends it, as mine seems good and it will be surrounded by sealant. It is I believe actually an o-ring that is just conformed to the shape of fit. |
