Title: Forbes: Donald Trump financial genius
Post by eau de sauvage on 10/07/21 at 01:03:39

This is just some financial facts from Forbes, forget about him dropping off the 400 list read on to the bit about how by not divesting as the ethics committee wanted him to do, he has ended up losing $2 billion.

Donald Trump financial genius.

If Trump is looking for someone to blame, he can start with himself. Five years ago, he had a golden opportunity to diversify his fortune. Fresh off the 2016 election, federal ethics officials were pushing Trump to divest his real estate assets. That would have allowed him to reinvest the proceeds into broad-based index funds and assume office free of conflicts of interest.

So basically what you’re saying is Trump lost money in politics while everyone else (like Puddinhead Joe) makes a fortune in politics. Got it.

Watching people who never have a tenth of Trump's fortune criticize him.

Fun..

Yeah, and if Trump had made a lot of money, you don't suppose there would be another investigation, do you?

The king of corruption and bankruptcy.

Title: Re: Forbes: Donald Trump financial genius

You’ve know Trump for 25-30 years. You know him because he’s successful. In fact, when you leftist thought he was a Democratic, you loved him.

And people want to point out the few bankruptcies Trump had, ignore the dozens and dozens if not hundreds of successes he’s had.

Unlike Pudd’nhead Joe, who sold his VP office for millions, Trump lost millions.

But the title of this thread is correct, Donald Trump is a financial genius.

Name a success...
Vodka, nope.. steaks, nope,... Trump U, nope,... casino, nope... airline, nope...
Golf courses losing money, hotels losing money, apartments losing money.
Made a lot on a reality show, pretending to be a successful businessman.

Maybe a small fortune on MAGA hats.  :-?

Yep, Trump is struggling. That’s what he gave up to be president. Biden on the other hand will clean up being president because he’s a corrupt crooked little pudding head.

Trump has properties and businesses all over the world.
Like I said, you’ve known him and loved him for 25 years until he was a Republican. I’ve stayed in his hotels,  eaten his restaurants and played on one golf course. I saw one of his hotels overseas but didn’t stay there.

You just work for people like Trump.

He's mortgaged to the hilt, and the bills are coming due.
His name is being removed from everything.
He was nothing more than a brand, and now his name is mud.

He claimed his DC hotel made $150M when it actually lost $70M.  Scottish golf courses never made a dime.

Everybody buys sh!t on credit, including you. Daddy staked him a $1 million and he turned it into $1 billion. Look I get it you don’t like Trump cause he’s not emasculated,  but don’t be ridiculous and say he’s a bad businessman because that’s the only reason why you knew who he was 20 or 30 years ago.

Everybody buys sh!t on credit, including you.

 I have not used credit.

As for Trump I would say, and have long before he was POTUS, that the 1million is a significant hurdle to reach, especially back then.  He skipped a long very unforgiving process.  Trump exhibits CEO behaviors but I can't say he exhibits strong financial prowess in regards to efficient money handling.

As an Entertainer, as a "Mogul" sure he does fine, and can make money for himself.  I wouldn't want him making financial decisions for my money though.

I haven’t used credit in 20 + years.
But to get to this point,
there was a time it was necessary.

I and Billions like me,
   have used credit,
so at one point they would not have to.

    (About)
0-15, parents paid.
Next 15. To 30 years old.
One needed Credit, unless they had a Silver Spoon, or lived hand to mouth.
Next 15. To 45 years old,
  One needed much less credit,
If they lived hand to mouth, they are still living hand to mouth.
Next 15. To 60 years old.
   They should need no credit,
except for the convenience of a CC, that is paid off every month.
(If they lived hand to mouth, then they get a Social Security check.
   Which is a PALTRY sum,
     which SHRINKS each year,
which they were FORCED to pay in to)

Next 30 + years.
Shoveling OFF the pile they have created,.

You say:
“…I have not used credit…”
So what was your,
  Silver Spoon ?

Hats off to you then sir. I will edit my remarks and say the vast majority of people use credit to buy a house car etc. Trump has made an off a lot of people money. I’m not sure how many people he’s employed over the years (The only people Pudd’nhead Biden has made money for is his co-conspirators)  but I’m guessing Trump could have employed 100,000 people over his career.  I don’t know. I know the one Trump steakhouse we ate in for work we gave our waiter a monster tip!

Our fair and balanced moderator just simply hates Trump. He hates him because Trump ended the coronation of queen Hillary and he’ll never forgive him for that. Trump could have come out as a Democrat and he would be fawning over him the same way he does over Obama.

So what? You never heard of Trump’s father but you heard of Donald.

I’ve been cursed with my share of vices but I’ve never been cursed with the Vice of jealousy over someone else’s better financial situation like you and many others on here. I don’t get that, never have. I’ve never worked for a poor person and neither have you. I work for owners who were just like Donald Trump and I’ve worked for owners who were just like Barack Obama and they both paid me. I’m fine with that.

"Our fair and balanced moderator just simply hates Trump. He hates him because Trump ended the coronation of queen Hillary and he’ll never forgive him for that. Trump could have come out as a Democrat and he would be fawning over him the same way he does over Obama."

My understanding is that the only people that claim the Moderator is "fair and balanced" are the people who are complaining about the Moderator's actions.

Fabricating a person's character then challenging the moral fabric of that inaccurate characterization does what exactly?  It's like me claiming you are rich, then claiming rich guys are corrupt.  How does that apply if you aren't actually rich and have never claimed to be?

Just as many privately owned social Media sites.
They can say/enforce, whatever 'rules' they want to.
      Not A Problem !

The problem occurs,
when the owner's/moderators/etc,
SAY,  They will be 'fair and balanced'.

  ONLY as long as they/moderator's,
agree with what is being said.

I quoted your statement which should indicate I did not miss it.  You stated:

"One needed Credit, unless they had a Silver Spoon, or lived hand to mouth."

Notice you indicate "Or".  This, to me, means a human needed Credit unless they had a Silver Spoon, or lived hand to mouth.

You asked me what was my Silver Spoon.  I fit into the "Or" category, which by my understanding is different than the Silver Spoon category and is mutually exclusive as one could be one "Or" another.

"You say:
“…I have not used credit…”
So what was your,
 Silver Spoon ?"

In this structure I understood you to ask me "What was your Silver Spoon ?"  Meaning I am exclusively in the Silver Spoon category and not the Hand to Mouth category.  This is like saying "You can have a Red shirt or a Silver shirt, so what is on your Silver shirt?"

Since I had no Silver Spoon, I am in the Hand to Mouth category.  I however do not fit your formula of staying perpetually in that category.

"If they lived hand to mouth, they are still living hand to mouth."

I don't live here like some.

Do remember though when tt, (and clones) were
slamming all sorts of people,
and calling them all sorts of names.
The, 'Fair and Balanced', moderator stepped up and,
laid down some, rules.

Which of course, are 'rules', ONLY if one agrees with the fair and Balanced Moderator.

One example.
Probably the most powerful man in the WORLD,
certainly the most known man in the World.
It is perfectly OK, to say absolutely ANYTHING one wants,
Insult Heritage/Religion/Skin COLOR/Hand Size/Etc./Etc./Etc./...
AND Champion a person who carried around a facsimile of a,

     BLOODY SEVERED HEAD,

And made fun of it !!!!!!

Yet it is not at all
alright,
to say things about a JR elected member,
who is CLEARLY Socialistic.

Again, for the, 'panty in a bunch people',
'Fair and Balanced',
here
means only if one agrees that Socialism is the way to go.

Ok so no moderator to anyone's knowledge has claimed "Fair and balanced" moderation.

In this regard I think if I assign a label I fabricated to describe a person they would have zero responsibility to defend it, and nobody else should be expected to believe or respect it as applicable.

Anyhoo,  plus ça change etc.

So the actual point was the irony. You know like he's taunting the ethics committee the entire time by refusing to divest even after promising to do so, trolling them relentlessly but in the end, all it did was lock him into a losing financial strategy.

Then there is the further point that this financial disaster, is not just because of bad decisions, but bad decisions based on ego, and bluster, not really what I'd call 'Presidential' material.

@WM, hello, I see your name around here a lot, more than when you used to actually be on here, like before you left for good. But fear not, for I am upholding the spirit of your bet by not reading a anything you write.

Actually what appears to happen here, historically, is the more one does not like the POTUS, the more they post.

Leftists posted more when Trump was in office, Rightists more when Obama/Biden.  I wasn't sure until I had two companies run the numbers since 2008 and a sociology team at CU go through the posts.

That's why I started saying this is more of a complaint forum than a discussion forum.

Title: Re: Forbes: Donald Trump financial genius

It’s not a discussion forum because leftist will run away from the discussion when they get painted into a corner. I’ll stay all the way through a discussion, leftist won’t. And unfortunately, our fair and balanced moderator is the only leftist with the brass ones to stay on here, but once painted into a corner, he’ll just post a funny quote (and they are funny ) with an icon and disappear.

If you will assist me in defining "leftist" from alternatives I will have a group go through the posts and create a table of responses.  The last one was under 60 pages so it's not a lot of data.

We of course need to define "run away" as you see it and choose a timeframe.  To me it is ignoring a question, or changing the subject entirely to something like gun control, Trump, or abortion, to which I have all of mine documented already.

So lets define who is a leftist here and I will have all of their posts pulled.

Doesn't take a Rocket Scientist to figger that out.
(Or a, '... a group go through the posts ...")

Of course in the name of, fairness, one would need to vet that group.
Who are they, how did they grow up, what is their political leaning, what is their age, who taught them with what ideals, etc, etc, etc,.

It is well known, different, 'groups',
will come up with different results,
using the SAME data.

Even Mikey knows that !

I disagree. Providing a post count is a mathematical issue and not opinion.  If Webstermark decides I am leftist all the ideological components have already been decided.  The people pulling post counts wouldn't even know why, they would only have to find and separate the last post in every thread I ever contributed to.
