Title: Fuel Mix Question
Post by Aquinaz921 on 07/25/21 at 10:53:36

So during the warmer time of our Summer, my mechanic set my fuel mixture so that I stopped getting loud backfire... now that our temp. here in Alameda is getting colder...  my backfires, specially when i kill my engine, gets pretty loud bang...  the same mechanic person, is no longer available for me...  so I ask this...  how do i turn the little dial for this cold temp?   clockwise or counter?

Appreciate the direction...  but I actually have read that before, which is how I knew what to ask the mechanic what I needed him to do and what i need now...  What I'm asking here for are people's experiences on their own adjustments...  as Fall comes in or Winter, what do you listen for?  when you are making that adjustments.

I may adjust the idle seasonally, but never my jetting or fuel/air screw. It sounds to me like your old mechanic had a good method to keep your bike coming back to him on a semi-annual basis.
