Title: Do you hear what I hear?
Post by WebsterMark on 07/01/21 at 05:38:21

So Grandpa is apparently spying on Tucker Carlson.

"Yesterday we heard from a whistleblower within the U.S. government who reached out to warn us that the NSA, the National Security Agency, is monitoring our electronic communications and is planning to leak them in an attempt to take this show off the air."

 Apparently is right.

Interesting that only the NSA could hack into his emails and not every other substantial decrypt analyst in the world.  I say this one is 50-50 at best.  I don't expect the NSA to say they are spying, and I don't expect Tucker Carlson to say anything that won't get ratings.

So Tucker made it up?

What if it’s true? (Odds are it is)

I don't think he "made it up" but I do think anyone could tell him they got email information from the NSA.

Odds to me are 50/50 because accusations aren't enough information for me.  If it's true then the NSA is most likely in violation of their scope as they are designated for foreign activities.

If this whistleblower had said FBI I'd believe it more, but everyone likes to go the NSA route because of Snowden and too many movies.

I believe Tucker said they did their research and confirmed the allegation.

Of course they’re in violation.

I've seen Carlson's research outcomes in the past so I'd say 50/50 still based off of those claims alone. This guy is not known for reliable fact-checking, which makes sense because his job is to drive ratings not provide peer-reviewed research.

The NSA is allegedly in violation, to me, because no evidence is provided.

Carlson claim

They are hacking my communications to take me off the air.

Response

We  are not trying to take him off the air.

 JoG has a good point.

Nothing is said to the tone of not spying at all.  Typically the NSA would not say this even if it was.  It's like the drug buyer telling a Narc agent that if he asks "Are you a cop?" he has to tell the truth.

So your 50/50 guess is dwindling a little huh?

"So your 50/50 guess is dwindling a little huh?"

No.  I do not think Carlson investigated the NSA claims in detail and provided evidence.  So I will give 50% potential for it to be true.

What I am saying is the NSA denies specifically that they are not trying to get Carlson off the air, which makes sense to me because the NSA has better things to do with their time.  Now they could be investigating Carlson for international communications, or members of his staff etc. but not for the purpose of removing him from television.

I give the NSA being truthful a 50% possibility because they provide no evidence.  By that math I'd say there is a 50% chance either claim is true, until I see evidence.

I think you’re unbelievably naïve.

I think the FBI or CIA would be assigned this type of project.  I think its naïve to place a ton of national security influence on Carlson.  Is FOX really that strong of a network?  Carlson is saying things we don't see on Twitter and FB all day long?

Carlson provides zero evidence.  If that is incorrect let me know.  Until then I see no reason to consider his statement any more factual than any other statement any other human being says on any subject.

WOW, I never said I believed them entirely.  I said they made that statement.  It makes sense, to me, since the FBI or CIA would more likely handle that assignment.  But since Carlson said NSA it can't possibly be any other organization?

So apparently NSA unmasked Tucker and/or allowed his named to be leaked. Obviously Gramps didn’t know about this as he can barely remember where he is so unless it was written on an index card, he’s clueless, but someone did this for political reasons.

And your point…..?

Look, the NSA read Tucker’s private correspondence to a foreigner under surveillance. The law is an American citizen in that situation is not identified unless requested and approved at the highest levels. A news organization got the information so either someone illegally leaked the info or someone else approved the name be unmasked and the recipient of that info either released it or it was illegally leaked from their possession.

Either way, someone who got their panties in a bunch over Trump the Dictator, you ought to be concerned.

And this is coming from someone who believes,
Biden/Harris are good for this nation.

A-Yep !!!!!

No, this is coming from someone who believed Christine Blakey Ford. This is coming from someone who believes a17 year old Brett Kavanaugh organized  rape parties all summer where the same girls were raped numerous times and it was never spoken about until Trump nominated him.

So factor that into anything our fair and balanced moderator says.
