Title: Dumb as a bag of hammers.
Post by T And T Garage on 06/10/21 at 14:42:40

If he represented me, I'd be embarrassed.

Seriously, look at the video. He's completely serious.

There is nothing, and I mean nothing, as dumb as this:

The gold standard for stupidity.

I cant say for sure but I would ask a question like that just to prove a point.

You want significant climate change you better do something about our sun, and our moon.

Nope. louie is truly dumb as a bag of hammers.

Change the orbit of the Earth and moon?????

He's got the market cornered on stupidity.

Nice try....

Lol, this is true, but old louie wasn't proving a point. He's just that dumb.

To save my partisan friend TT embarrassment and forced him to stick his head out of the “I hate Republicans” bubble he lives in, yes, you could move the earth’s orbit and in fact on paper, it’s doable.

It’s a regular topic of academic papers. As the sun ages, it will grow larger so moving the earth further away is a way to get students to understand the forces involved in astrophysics.

Apparently the top candidates are either giant sails to catch the solar wind or ion engines that would make tiny changes over a long period of time.

Putting it into practice is another matter of course. The technical obstacles are beyond us right now. Sort of like supplying the world’s energy needs with windmills.

You can’t however capsize an island by putting to many people on one end regardless if it’s an academic exercise or not.

So yes, poor little Hank Johnson will get to keep his title.

Lmao!!!!

Wormholes are also a theoretical possibility. So is FTL.  So is the multiverse.  So is anti-gravity and on and on..  But we don't live in that world yet - and louie is sure as hell NOT in those academic circles.

Maybe try to stay in context, hmm?

As to your statement that it's a "regular topic of academic papers" what a load of bullsh!t.  You can say that about nearly anything...

Here's the problem, you call me a republican hater, yet you can't call one of your own an idiot when all the evidence is right in front of you.

I'll fully admit that Hank's comments are cringeworthy and stupid, but that doesn't exonerate louie.

So maybe you should just call an idiot an idiot. louie's history is littered with stupidity.

Moving the earth is not a theoretical possibility. There is no theory involved. The challenge is technical, not theoretical.  Do you understand the difference?

You made your post for one purpose only and then argued Louie was stupider than Hank. I have specific reasons why between the two, Hank displays far less understanding of the world around us.

In short, you could move the earth’s orbit but you can’t capsize Guam. There’s a difference.

No, its a theory. Yes, I understand the meaning.

A theory is a well-substantiated explanation of an aspect of the natural world that can incorporate laws, hypotheses and facts. ... A theory not only explains known facts; it also allows scientists to make predictions of what they should observe if a theory is true. Scientific theories are testable.

Technical challenges be dammed, the elements that would make up these sails haven't been produced yet in any sort of real world scenario. Further, the enery needed to create them would be better spent on an actual vehicle that could take humans to Mars or even a new solar system.

If you sit there and equate a theory with just a thought, then you may want to learn what a theory is.

That not withstanding,  let's face it, louie was talking out of his a$$ and has no idea as to the theory of actually changing the Earth's orbit.

Jesus christ, just admit that louie is a moron and be done with it....

But no, you'll post some BS about another dumb statement about some idiot Democrat to make you feel better, and then turn around and say that I'm the one that's unreasonable.

Par for the course. You do you.

On here hasn't it, for years now, been commonplace to challenge one observation with a counter one?

Billy broke a window.  Republican parents don't teach their kids any values.

Bobby broke two windows.  Democrat parents teach their kids fewer values.

Benny broke 4 windows!  Republican parents obviously are less moral.

Bradley broke 7 windows!  Democrat parents must not have any morals at all.

He's not the Dumbass. You clowns have been trolled.

“I was informed by the immediate past director of NASA that they’ve found that the moon’s orbit is changing slightly and so is the Earth’s orbit around the sun. We know there’s been significant solar flare activity,” he said. “And so, is there anything that the National Forest Service or BLM can do to change the course of the moon’s orbit or the Earth’s orbit around the sun? Obviously, that would have profound effects on our climate.”

Eberlien responded, smiling, “I would have to follow up with you on that one, Mr. Gohmert.”

“If you figure out there’s a way in the Forest Service you could make that change, I’d like to know,” Gohmert said.

He's LAUGHING at you. Because it's reasonable to do that.
Because
Clowns

Fact check: Gohmert's attempts to connect moon orbits and solar flares to climate change
https://www.cnn.com/2021/06/09/politics/louie-gohmert-climate-change-fact-check/index.html
"The 'science-y sounding' reasons most politicians use to reject climate change are not primarily due to lack of education or knowledge," Katharine Hayhoe, climate scientist and co-director of the Climate Center at Texas Tech University, wrote on Twitter. "No: they are deliberately manufactured and offered as palatable excuses to hide the real problem: solution aversion. They don't want to fix it."
Everything Gohmert asserted has been debunked by NASA.

Watch the video. He's sincere. He's a fukking idiot.

This isn't his first venture into stupidity.

The fact is, you got trolled by your right wing damage controllers.  Old louie barely has a grasp on reality, much.less scientific theory.  If you think otherwise  well...

Talk about a DFI.....

Correction. louie IS.  Hank is.

louie wins by a landslide.
(Besides, Hank's comment was like a decade ago...louie's was this week)

Final post on this ridiculous topic. Listen close. It is possible to move an object out of its orbit, even a planet if you’ve got the technology to transfer tremendous amount of force. You cannot however capsize an island. If you can’t grasp this then you, Hank and Louie would be an interesting group to have a few beers with.

No, you listen close.

louie was talking out of his ass and has been since he was somehow elected. To move a planet is on the same scale as FTL.  It's only theoretical.

No, an island cannot capsize abd Hank is a moron too.

You could not pay me enough to drink a beer with either one.

As to your story about your son's liberal friend. I don't believe it for a second. You have zero credibility to put forth any anecdote.
