Title: Tank emblem removal Post by SoC on 02/26/21 at 14:43:16 I know this has been discussed I just have not had luck in search finding it. I know the tank emblem plate on my ‘11’ is held on by some sort of adhesive, assume it is a super tape type or hot melt. What is best way to remove it. Figure heat and lift, just looking to confirm or discredit this. Also, on my ‘03’ it is a Savage decal, it appears to me to be under a clear coat, but not sure. On the side cover panel emblem just peeled off with some heat. I want to keep the factory color, just de-badge it. I talked with a painter who said he could airbrush some flames over it to cover, but I’m not so sure about that. |

I'm sure others will tell you it could scratch the clear coat. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018WG2XYE |
