Title: Hyper Flashing Post by gtenginerd on 11/16/20 at 20:14:17 I bought this after replacing turn signals with LEDs. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07D33JGLC But it's not the same connector. Does anyone know a version that is the same connector, or an adapter, or a simpler solution? |
Title: Re: Hyper Flashing Post by zipidachimp on 11/17/20 at 04:21:35 not the same connector, but works just fine! cheers! 8-) |
Title: Re: Hyper Flashing Post by gtenginerd on 11/17/20 at 06:19:02 Maybe I didn't explain thoroughly... :-? I'd rather not cut off the existing connector at this point. Is there a solution to avoid that? |

Title: Re: Hyper Flashing Post by MMRanch on 11/17/20 at 19:58:58 gtenginerd , hind-sight is always 20-20 , ::) don't ask ! :-[ Do you know how to remove the female wire termals from the plastic holder that came with you bike ? clue : It involves a small wire or safty pin ... opened up ;) no cutting envolved ... and ... you can put the termals back into the plastic later if you want :) ............................ Ok , another clue : put the small screwdriver/wire/strait pin / what ever - in beside the termal on the side with the spur/knotch/ , the other side will be flat. Then the wire/w/termal attached will pull out the back side to be clear of the plastic holder. Then you can see the little spur that holds them in place. 8-) puting a small amount of inward presure on the wire will help get the spur to release , holding the spur down and gently pull the wire out , easy pea-sey. ............................................. OK , last clue : put the empty plastic holder back on the original blinker unit just like it was ... so you can find it ... if you ever need it for anything. |
Title: Re: Hyper Flashing Post by gtenginerd on 11/18/20 at 07:20:57 Thanks, I'm gonna give this a try. Will report back. Edit: See below. I was able to get the pins out, but didn't have the right connectors. |
Title: Re: Hyper Flashing Post by gtenginerd on 11/18/20 at 10:12:07 I ended up cutting them since I had my solder stuff out and the blade connectors I needed. Put heat shrink on after the pic and it's working just fine. |
Title: Re: Hyper Flashing Post by Dave on 11/18/20 at 15:33:44 Looks good.....and likely will outlast the bike! |
Title: Re: Hyper Flashing Post by MMRanch on 11/18/20 at 21:00:49 I've ordered some LED-FLASHER units (slow boat from China) to fit on another bike (W-650). So , I'll ask ... Did the new flasher fix the problem ? :-? |
