This for all that it applies:
Happy Veterans Day and Thank You for your service.
When a stranger would walk up and thank my father for his service , he would always get a huge smile and thank them , he was a proud WW2 vet.
This is my first Veterans Day without him !

He is in a better place now , but we all still miss him.

Hello All Veterans, I just want to send out to all who have served, my thanks and appreciation for what you have done for our country. The commitment to serve our nation is potentially the greatest sacrifice you can make and we are all greatful for your efforts. You put your personal safety on the line for us and we thank you.

Ruttly, try reading Scourge of the Swastika or Knights of the Bushido by Lord Russell of Liverpool to see what your father helped to stop.
