You know about the crash and I guess you know about Reelthing bringing a bike up, and a Buncha parts,,
The only downside is I dont KNOW if my motor is okay after the crash, Its got a divot out of it kinda low center on the case, where a busted fork tube gouged it,,Im a bit concerned,,
But
I have everything I need to take the frame he brought, and punch that jug out,, and do the stage 3 cam and if it requires a better carb to get it all tuned,, I guess Id hafta go that way,, rather dont if I dont hafta,,
I guess what Isayin is I want a #3 cam,, but IM not in a place to toss a core out right now,,

and do I NEED a different carb to use the fatter piston?

And what piston do I want? and do you have that?

All that is predicated on my flaky memory,,
Is the stage 3 the most desirable for a punched out jug?

How much is a stage 3 cam if I want to keep my current one?

-----------

As I understand it, $349.  The $249 sale price plus the $100 core charge.

If you send a usable cam core back (could be any usable LS650 cam), you get your $100 core charge back.  If you don't send a cam back or send an unusable cam back, you don't get the $100 core charge back.

I'm sure Lancer will correct me if I'm wrong, but this is a pretty standard process.

That is correct.  I posted that quickly and did not explain it completely..  My apology for the omission Eegore.
The Stage 3 cam is the only one I’m making now so it makes choosing easier !    [ch128513]  [ch127949]

JOG, I had a hole punched in the bottom center of my case years ago, the size of a $0.50 piece in the top of a piggy bank.  The welded it up and its worked since 2002.

The 94mm Wiseco piston does not require boring the cylinder, just hone.

You can use the stock carb if you wish.  Any of the parts, cam/carb/piston can be used individually and efficiency/performance will improve, but when using together they multiply the effect a bit, especially when you have a good flowing/performing exhaust.  Even just a Dyna muffler is pretty darn effective, but of course a better header &/or muffler adds a more oomph.

What do you mean basic carburetor kit? Which size would you recommend for a stock bike?
