That hammer's not nearly big enough for the work I do on bikes. Maybe for fine tuning. But, not for serious work.

heard that HA members carry ballpein hammers because a claw is too awkward when used as a weapon.

I saw in the news coverage of that big biker brawl in Texas a couple years ago that felons carry ball peen hamers on their bikes cause they are not considerd ''wepons''.
Good luck with that in front of a judge after beating someone with it.
But then again, if you did not have it you might be dead!
If you looked hard enough, someone might have been beaten to death with a Bible.
Guess it's a matter of offence, or defence.
