Title: I Made Motorcycle.com
Post by Gary_in_NJ on 04/06/20 at 11:15:24

Two weeks ago motorcycle.com asked for submissions for "Reader Rides". I figured, "why not submit mine...with so many awesome bikes out there they're bound to get better bikes to feature".  I was wrong, they featured me second:

That's one cool bike. It deserves the top spot - let me see what won. Maybe time to send a posse of savage riders down to motorcycle.com HQ and make them change it to 1.

Oh the winner was - Readers’ Rides: Martin Adams’ Commonwealth Racing Norton ?

OK that a #1 all day, hold up the savage rider posse.

Cool.
Srinath.

Hey Gary, Motorcycle.com picked a worthy candidate to display.  What a slick ride.

Thanks guys. This bike seems to get attention. I think it's because of its accessibility. It's not one of those bikes that you look at and say to yourself "wow, that's an amazing paint job" or "that guy has some great welding skills". It's a bike that you look at and just "get". It's credible. It looks like a motorcycle, and one that could have just as easily come from Suzuki...or BSA, in the 1960's (I did have a guy at a gas station insist that his father had the same exact bike in the '70's).

Sweet looking bike, I really like the blue you've chosen.

Fantastic machine! It looks like you've made a few additional refinements since I last read your build thread. One of the best on here, should be added to the builds sticky.

My guess - It was an SR500 Yamaha. But lets see what else was close.
Cool.
