This information is too valuable to be hidden in the Tall Table.

My county just said we must stay home but will allow us to go to parks for recreation...Thus, if caught riding, I plan to say I am on my way to a park, or coming home from a park... ;)   Don't mess with seniors...

Same situation here in Western NY. The park that I walk my dog in every morning is pretty much deserted.  Yesterday I saw one other dog walker. Some days I've seen no one. The joggers and the bicycle riders have vanished. The bike riders that I usually see that time of day  I think are mostly students from the University that borders the park though, and the University switched to all online classes a couple of weeks ago.

My motorcycles are still in the garage. They are both ready to go, but the weather here hasn't warmed up enough yet. The only days it was warm enough for me to even think about a ride it was raining. :(

Well, it's not much better here in the Seattle area. Closed all the parks, gyms, most of the stores, rifle ranges, etc. The weather has been total crap, +/- 40F and rain off and on. It's finally snowing in the mountains, but the ski areas are closed, too. Turning 69 on March 16 and threatened by the "BOOMER DOOMER" virus is one birthday party I did not plan on. But on the brighter side, the Marijuana shops (medicinal?) are all open, and hard liquor is sold in grocery stores and pharmacies - all still open. So praise the lord and pass the bottle (or doobie), the lord willin' and the creek don't rise, the sun is sure to shine again!

By the way, what's the deal with the run on guns and ammo? I tried to get a box of .22 Blazers last week to do some quarry plinking, and the Big 5 shelves were bullet-bare. The news says that sales, since the first reports of COVID-19, increased 70%. Ladies and Gents, this is NOT the Zombie Apocalypse! Or is it? :o

My wally world had TP on the shelf yesterday. limit 1 per customer, but people weren't even going after it. Seems we are catching up on the inital run on the stores.

Sanitizer and wipes...nope.

I hope I'm not the only one who is completely baffled by the run on toilet paper? Here in El Paso my wife tells me shelves are bare.

Dunno.

This I copied from a post I did in the tall table.

A  friend of mine told me something last night on the phone. (if this is old news to you, just let it pass)
Australia is where the tp shortage started, the wild fires burned up trees for lumber, and then the crono scared ever one to stock up with something they could not find.  And of course social media took over and panic.

Oh how a long for the days when we got our news of the world from a speaker on a hallicrafters.    :(
