Fixing an auction bike. Need

Carb
both front foot pegs
Gear shift lever

Also may need new tires and know one in Canada sells IRC.

May have a gear shift lever
No pegs (at least none that are straight/unground)

you don't need IRC (low man on the totem pole anyway)
concentrate on the size.
100/90-19 and 130/90-15 (the IRC rear is small for it's size)

May have found a used carb locally for $150 cdn
took pegs off disassembled and hammered straight. Still looking at new after market.

Thanks on the tire info. Had read up on 140/90/15 130/90/15 options.

I have a black 2006 that I might be parting out when I start another build. I may not be getting into it for a while though. When I do get started I will be selling all of the tins, tank and seat, pegs and forward controls, handlebars, and possible the airbox. Keeping the carb though.

Those are great tires on the Savage, and very affordable.

If you ride 10 thousand miles a year you will need a set annually - but if you ride 2 thousand miles a year they are perfect. It also never makes sense to put expensive tires on a "project" bike - better to wait until the bike proves it is a keeper.

Make sure you put a raptor petcock on it and change the oil.

Just replaced the gas filled oil and filter. Sounds much better. New clutch cable, Right rear signal lens ordered. Had some Python foot pegs from another. Little drilling and fileing some cursing they fit with original bolts. Ebay link at bottom is what I bought but from Ebay.ca Had to use original spacer.

I raised the rear as more than a few said more oil comes out.

forgot carb fixup seems to work great. Starts runs and idles great.

Bike came this raptor petcock. Wish it was left off not on res since October.
