I'd have to agree that Bloomberg either has an extreme disconnect as to how congregating humans can be victimized, or he has someone(s) in his pocket lobbying somewhere.

Is it the "job" of law enforcement? Yes.

Does that mean nobody else in the country should be able to? No.

During the church incident four other people in the church drew their guns. None of them fired a shot. The bad guy was dispached with ONE shot. A head shot with a handgun from 20 -30 feet. That's pretty good pistol shooting.

Compare that to the situation recently in Miami where the UPS driver hostage and a bystander were killed when the cops fired 200 rounds at the truck the bad guys hijacked. Cops on opposite sides of the street from one another and while some of them were using other occupied vehicles as "cover". It's a miracle that some of the cops didn't shoot each other. Or more bystanders.A total clusterf*ck.

A little searching will find plenty of other examples.

There is a serious, systemic, problem with the way LEOs are trained IMO.

I'll gladly take my chances with the "average citizens" that Bloomberg thinks so little of.

He's an idiot.

Wilson was a retired reserve Sheriff deputy. So if we are saying "cops" are not "average citizens" does that mean Wilson was not part of the class of citizen Bloomberg was talking about?

Or does being "reserve" place him in a position of being right in the middle of "average citizen" and "cop"?
