Anyone have a Savage head, the bike was free but the exhaust stud is flush inside the head. I dont weld so I dont know anyone that can free it up for me. anyways not sure if it matters but I have a LS650 from 1986.

I might also need some side covers also and a carb boot from the carb to the airbox.

Where are you? As long as someone hasn't broken off an EZ Out in the stud, it might not be a big deal to remove.

I have a head from an 87......I am out of town for a few days and will get you photos next week.

The stud most likely got broken off when the previous owner tried to remove it, and it is likely stuck. A good machinist may be able to drill it out without damaging the head.......and/or they could install a thread repair. That may cost as much as getting a replacement head.
