Has anyone else noticed that there are now ads popping up in posts?

It's a frickin nuisance. There are pop-ups when you first navigate to one of the sub forums like Cafe or RSD.. And there's toaster popups from the bottom every time you change pages. I hope John is getting revenue for it. Otherwise, I'd be really pissed.

I only get the annoying toaster ad on the bottom on 1 of my computers - it is a pain as the add blocks the buttons I need to use to post/preview/reset. You can move the pop up off the screen - but anytime you scroll on the message it comes back up.

For some reason the older computers don't get this toaster ad.

Don't know about windows, but Adguard for Safari, the free version takes out all ads from everywhere, including youtube.

It's a free forum and I bet the ads are only paying the rent. We are free to leave and not come back, but I'll deal with the ads.

I paid membership, these pop up ads are getting out of control, imo. Yep I may leave if I get tired of wading through them every time I want to read posts.

If your router allows it, just add the domains serving the ads to the block list and no ads will come through then.

Or you can set up an old PC with squidguard and a firewall as a proxy server. Configure your devices to go through that to get on the web. Ads will be stopped at that PC so the site still thinks it sent the ad but you will never see them.

I use Chrome, and just installed Adaware and it eliminated all of the pop ups.

Just installed it on my old iPad and newer iPhone; seems to be working great on Both.

fyi, I've adblocker plugin with chrome, no ads popping up at all
