Title: Honda VT 750 RS
Post by Dave on 10/17/19 at 05:32:17

There is one of these that parks in front of a house nearby....it is a great looking motorcycle (in my opinion).  Don't know anything about how well it rides - but it looks good!

A standard Shadow 750...
Should have been good competition for Triumph and Sportster,... but ....

A guy who commuted to Boeing on the same ferry I did, had one....

Yes, a pretty looking bike ( is that a good thing for a dude to ride....a pretty thing  :-/ )

As which always seemed to be the case, with our jap thumper, no respect....

I don't care how long their noses were, they could easily look down them to our bike  ;D

He taunted me one too many times off the line....

I bit.

I blew his fat little slug bike to sheet.

Understand, I don't go fast....its not my nature.
Heck, I take a novel with me to poop.

It felt good, this one time.
He never did it again.

Yes, its a pretty bike, ours is ugly, like a chick with a hot bikini body, but when she smiles, she is missing her front teeth....

I don't know what that means, sorry  :-?

Since we're pickin' on things...
The tank looks kinda' 80s... and the airbox would bug the crap outta' me...  :-?

Out of curiosity, I read a few road tests......it is not an impressive performer and is down on HP and likes to vibrate at the upper rpm range.

So....I guess it is a typical V-Twin cruiser kind of a bike........I expect more from Honda - with a smooth engine and 1.5 times the HP it could have been a Sportster killer.

I bet they'll sell better if they take off the rear fender and put some plywood in place of the seat.  :D

My neighbor has a Shadow, an older one from the late 90s. It's pretty dependable according to him. So it's got that going for it.

The tank on the Honda looks small compared to the rest of the bike. It almost looks like Honda tried to copy a peanut tank which looks good on a bobber but doesn't fit the light cruiser they have it on.
I'm with Bot on that airbox, way too much.
