Title: Rats!  Twice !
Post by zipidachimp on 09/20/19 at 19:26:30

I can't believe this happened again!
Once last year and again this afternoon, my house and car keys migrated out of my front jeans pocket and decided not to come home with me after an hour bike ride.
How can this happen? and twice!
Rats! >:(

You take them with you why?
Kinda begging to lose them.

And what kinda pants let your keys fall out?
So you reach in
Grab the little key chain
And as your hand comes outta the pocket, your other key chain falls out?

just clip it to the dog's collar next time. that way you won't forget to feed him.

Senior Moment ? The older you get the time between these moments becomes shorter & shorter ! Everything goes into a pocket with a zipper. That does suck !

Senior? Yeah, physical age 75 1/2, always thought mentally 25, guess not, now they're on a lanyard around my neck.  Winter comes and my mittens will be attached by a string!!!!  HAHA, so sad! :(

Bike keychain =
Shop door key
Bike keys

House keys, etc. hang in the shop till I get back.

When I go on vacation I strip the keys off except for the vehicle I'm in and a house key.
Why risk losing stuff I don't even Need while I'm gone?

I have lots of little panic moments when I can't find my keys....they are in a pants pocket, jacket pocket or someplace else I set them down.

I lost a set of keys once......I believe I set them on a trailer fender for some reason, then drove off.  It was a major hassle replacing them as I had house keys, car keys, office keys, uncle's house key, overhead garage door outside key, trailer lock key, Master Key to the apartment complex my uncle owned.

I really should go and get a duplicate set made of everything I have on my key chain now - but in an effort to help, I did get a little dog tag made that has "REWARD" engraved on one side and my telephone number on the other side.

Fortunately, keys are flat, and I'm anal enough to have kept a spare set in my wallet, so I got home OK.  But it still burns, and now my garage landlord thinks I'm past it!  Rats!
But, as they say, gettin' older is better than the alternative :D !

I use a different key ring for each vehicle .   The ones I'm not using are on hooks at a secret location .    ::)

So

Only one ring gets out at a time , and I don't roll till they are in the vehicle.  Works good !  ;)   Even I can't mess it up !  ;D

That don't mean Senior Moments don't show up in other forms ...  :-[

Lessons learned!  one key at a time, no reason for the car/home keys to go along for the ride! cheers!8-)

Whenever I lose something, I order a replacement. It is only then that I find the item that I lost. ;D ;D
