Title: Any flashers in here?

I'm talking about a brake light modulator. Anyone using one? Have any thoughts on the subject?

I had one before I cafed my bike. Depending on your riding style it can be Godsend. I personally engine brake ALOT so having it set up just to flash 3 times when it registers the bike slowing gives me alot of peace of mind. Now that I think about it, I have noticed cars getting closer to me when I engine brake now that I don't have the flasher relay.

I checked with a police officer friend here in NY. He looked it up in "The Book" and checked with some officer friends. Found nothing that specifically prohibits the use. But also pointed out that they found nothing that specifically allows it. Said "I can't tell you what to do. But now that you brought it up I am going to put one on my bike."

Yeah. Was looking at some flasher bulbs. Thinking of doing both bikes.

I used to have a single unit flasher bulb from superbrightleds. I had them in both my bikes and when one started acting up a few years later, I could not find them again on their website.  I contacted their customer service and they could not tell me why they stopped. It was a good bulb and I liked them.

I think I speak for most, if not all, when I say thank you for keeping those pictures to yourself!

Just be careful not to buy garbage that is not DOT rated. So many are Chinese garbage and provide insufficient lumens for enough brightness to be seen on a bright sunny day.

GOF, Rest assured that our moderators wouldn't let any questionable pics get thru. Wouldn't be the first time I've been moderated. ;D
They do a fine job !

I will check anything to make sure it is bright enough before I put it on the road. One of the things that got me thinking about it was seeing some seriously bright LED brake lights.
