Title: How do you bleed the brakes?

Can someone provide some instructions or step-by-step on how to bleed the brakes?  I have a 2012 Suzuki S40 Boulevard.  Thank you!

attach a tube to the nipple and stick it in a jar.
use a wrench to open the nipple, not any more than necessary.
squeeze the brake handle.
close the nipple.
release the brake.
open, squeeze, close, release... repeat as necessary.
don't forget to keep the master full.

I bought one of these, worked fine. It's a one way valve. It was a little fiddly because we don't have a lot of nipple showing on the S40.

If you have someone helping they can have a large syringe and keep the res topped up while you're down below yelling instructions on when to pump when to release and so on to time with your doing and undoing of the bleeder valve. It needs to be co ordinated just like the valve timing.

The advantage of having the one way valve is that once it's done you can easily then keep pumping to watch for any stray bubbles.
