Title: Pointless puttering Post by Armen on 09/14/19 at 10:07:44 So, the basket case was missing the front motor mount spacer. Of course, I had to make it out of aluminum rather than get a used stocker, so as to save  1/2 ounce.

Title: Re: Pointless puttering Post by Armen on 09/14/19 at 17:00:45 DBM, I bought one of those KOSO speedo/tach/idiot light/everything gauges. It has a bar graph fuel gauge on the bottom. No use to me, I says. Hmmm It goes by resistance of the sending unit... Hmmm So does an oil temp sender! Bought a Bosch oil temp sender, made a threaded adapter, and put it in the threaded oil galley. Cause offers a few resistance ranges to meet the variety of gas gauges. Hopefully one of the ranges fits the resistance range of my sender :-)
