I used to never think about that until I started taking flight lessons back in 2000. So you don't get target fixation on the runway threshold and smash into it, my instructor taught me to (as soon as you "have" the runway) focus my eyes around mid-field or the last half of the runway and it proved to result in much smoother landings because you have the whole runway and elevation framed in your decisions actions, not just a little spot on the concrete. I use that in everyday driving and motorcycle riding where applicable, always trying to look far ahead and plan for as much as the eye can see. |

I can attest to that. Somewhat fragile ? More like TOTALLY FRAGILE. |
