Worth watching again.
He could have had a martini with the wiener. That's a neat project.

That Looks like a hoot!
I would want some friends tagging along behind, though. And a younger, less battered body.

Okay, Fantasy Touring equipment time.
What bike would you want if you were gonna give this a go?
I hope they have Lenno in it.

maybe an old Indian ?  :-?

The rules say :  Original engine case .

To me that would mean modern bearings in the old case .     A modern crankshaft stuck into those modern bearings , etc !

In brass era cars - engines that will be run have the cast iron pistons replaced with aluminum ones.  In those early years they did not know how to deal with the expansion rates of aluminum and make it work as a piston.  I am sure the same thing occurs in the very old motorcycle engines.

Way ahead of its time.  Water cooled, just change the water after sausages are cooked for more cooling.

This is super cool.  I have an old school moped with a top speed of around 22 mph and an old cruiser bicycle.

There is something about traveling at a lower speed on 2 wheels, I can't quite explain...it just "feels" right.

Many have claimed the bicycle to be the perfect machine,  I thing that's bloody well right.
