Title: FS: 2013 s40 "Matchless" tribute WA - SO
Post by Darryl on 07/29/19 at 14:10:20

2013 Suzuki S40 650cc single with only 5,950 miles.  Modified to look similar to the famous 50’s/60’s Matchless G80CS singles.  I used repro aluminum Matchless fenders, Lucas-style taillight, and Matchless fender braces.  Other improvements include Ryca air filter, fork boots, reverse cone muffler, handlebars, and conversion to chain drive from belt; Savage Performance carb jets; Verslavy custom cam chain adjuster; Raptor petcock; and moving the foot pegs and controls back to a more normal position.  My age and some health issues, plus just too many toys, say it’s time to move on.  All take-off parts included. Price is $3700, cash only, and no I don’t need help selling it. Located in western WA State.

Price dropped to $2995.  Need to have this gone.  Sweet running low mileage bike but health issues mean fewer toys.

That's a good deal for a clean, low-milage bike with mid-controls, fenders and all of those other mods completed.

I hope you don't mind, but I documented your build in a thread because you did some fine work and I think it flew under the radar unnoticed by many of us on here.  Please add to it if you have more pictures or information to share.

Title: FS: 2013 s40 "Matchless" tribute SOLD

I don't mind, but I did obviously already post this story and photos, and the feedback was underwhelming to say the least.  I thought it turned out well but maybe too few have the "Matchless" memories I have.  At 70 I doubt I could even kickstart a Matchless now, so the S40 electric start was a big factor in doing this project.

I wish someone would step up and claim this little gem.  I just sold one collector car and have an offer on the other, and a Goldwing to sell, too.  I hate to give up my toys but my wife's health is requiring a lot more of my time and resources.
