Well, that didn't work.  How the heck do you insert a link to a prior post?  Am I supposed to use the hyperlink button or the FTP link button?  Am I supposed to place the curser between the brackets?  Am I supposed to go to the post in question and copy & paste the URL into the new post?  I'm baffled. :-[

Use the url button (1st button on left) or for short addresses none at all.
If they are too long they will text wrap and sometimes not work.

For inserting a link....I just copy and paste it in.  There are no other buttons you need to push (no medai, no photo, no nuttin).

I edited your first post to include a link....you can open it and see that there is no other button or icon used - just pasted the copied url.

So let's try simply copy & paste.

I'm lovin that.  Thanks Dave.  I could swear I've tried that approach before but it was a flop.

Let's try Versy's hyperlink button.

I'm lovin that too.  Thanks Versy.

So, let's say I've typed a bunch of baloney in a post and now I want to go snatch a prior post and paste in the hyperlink.  How do I navigate out of the post I'm currently working on and copy the URL from the post I want to reference?  I tried that and I lost the text I was working on.  How do I do it without losing my draft?

I am not all that computer techy and there may be a better way - but I just open up another window on my internet browser and have more than one page open on the Suzukisavage forum.....and work using the two windows.

Or - I open up a page in my windows and do the lengthy typing....then copy and paste into the forum web page.  This is the safest way I believe, as you can recover the text if you do something wrong.

Yep. "Ctrl" + "N" will open a new browser window where you can go find the post you want and copy the link, then go back to the original window where you were typing your baloney....What Dave said.
