Title: Air Hawk
Post by Beerm8 on 04/15/19 at 16:11:33

Has anyone used the Air Hawk cushion on a savage or S40?  I'm tempted to try one now that I have one of Dave's kawa drive sprockets installed.  The biggest limitation to long distance rides seems to be my butt!

I've had the cheaper version for some years, got so used to it, it's hard to think back when I didn't have. It must help somewhat or I would never have brought it in the first place. I'm satisfied with it.

I tried a bunch of things before I found my "butt saver", the Airhawk.  I've used that  for many years and many miles.
It doesn't work for everybody, but it sure works for me.
The big mistake most people make is putting too much air in.  Inflate, then sit on it, and let most of the air out.  That way the air can shift between the cells and support you better.

I have this. Small sheared. Not quite as cushiony as an air hawk but a big difference from nothing to this. Quality product and very pleased with it.

Youzguys would be right, I've done about 40000 thousand miles on mine.

thanks for the response!  I ordered the dual sport model in the lack of specifics as it seemed to be the best fit by the pictures.   Hopeing this helps me acheive my goal of visiting all the breweries in my state but I think I am falling way behind as there are over 300 now....

Sorry about the "lack of specifics".
I am using the Cruiser Medium.. but I bought that before the Dual Sport model was even available.
The Dual Sport is "11 x 11", while the Cruiser Medium is "14 x 14".  I would be interested in seeing pictures of how it fits on your bike when you get it.

Pretty sure I run Cruiser Medium as well.

I have the cruise medium like Youzguyz. I wore out the cover and just recently bought a new cover for it. I could not do the long rides without it.

Butt... there are better options for the pillion.   ;D

there's a pad that widens the pillion that your partner will thank you for.
be careful what key words you use or you'll end up on a porn site.   8-)
