I feel the fundamental basis of a "Forum" is for people with varying principles, ideals and ideas about any subject to have an equal, that's right... equal input and respect of one's opinion. The idea that like minded people get to reinforce each other's ideas is the opposite of what a forum is for. That is a party, a meeting, a gathering, but not a forum. I think the issue here was a lack of respect, not an issue of who likes what idea, who supports this candidate, or this law, the problem was a tremendous lack of respect for each other as humans who are conscious beings capable of independent thought. |
