Title: a BIG THANKS
Post by pam on 02/08/19 at 11:42:11

I am so HAPPY, Dave contacted me and said he would get with me about my bike.
I TRUST him 100 percent more than I do the honda shop..in between then, will recharge my battery..
My battery is only about a year old if that.. and I just put fresh gas and stabilizer in it right before severe winter took hold here..

I am so happpy you fellas are always willingto help out.. Thank you so much !!!! :)

I used to trust Dave 100%, and then I slept in a tent with he and MM in the mountains and...well...#metoo!

Just kiddin'.  Dave can probably completely rebuild a Savage in an hour completely drunk, in the dark, with one hand tied behind his back while playing the banjo with his other hand.   ;D ;D ;D

I was going to suggest that Dave had worked on your bike before, and maybe he would again ,but I didn't think it would be right to volunteer him. but he is a good man !

You're in good hands, thank god.  In defense of your local dealer, he said it was "probably the carb" (which is probably isn't) and they may have started with the simple stuff first.  A good battery, a clean spark plug and a little bit of fuel is all that is needed to get a motor to fire.  Think "fire and fuel", in that order.

Dave is particularly fond of gold stars in recognition of his work.

Yep, I have helped Pam before, and ridden her bike for a mile or two.  It ran pretty well with the stock jetting, with only a hint of a lean surge at part throttle.

I am sure we can get this sorted out - however the 60 degree weather is gone and it is 15 degrees this morning.  I might not want to work on her bike outdoors until the temperatures get reasonable.
