Well technically being racist isn't illegal.

For instance "defending" the guy who ran his car into the crowd of people is ok. However back in the 70's when he wouldn't rent to black tenants is illegal.

Trump did not support the guy who drove his car into a crowd and killed someone. That's CNN-level lying. And again, Trimp did not call Mexicans rapist and ban Muslims. I don't know the details of the rental case.

If Trump supported him, why hasn't he pardoned him? If he's racist, why hire or appoint any blacks to positions?

I’ve read about it and heard about it. What I understand, the prospective renters said the manager said “my boss said don’t rent to blacks”. I don’t believe it was shown that came from the top. Regardless, naacp has given Trump recognition so based on his history , I don’t think it’s fair to label him a racist.
