My bad - I should not have said what I did above.

You see, the problem really is this - he doesn't know enough to be purposefully doing this. Because of his ineptitude, he's like a baby with a house of blocks. He has little to no control of what he's doing or saying. He refuses to think about any consequence of his actions.
