Title: Packing Post by justin_o_guy2 on 01/10/19 at 04:20:30 I got a ski bib for the cool weather. Slightly insulated, and it's very bulky to get in a saddle bag. I'm testing the Ziploc Space bags. Loop like a winner. Just gotta mash the air out without popping a seal. Instead of taking up over half the bag, it's gonna slide in and leave room for stuff. The bag size I'm testing is medium. |
Title: Re: Packing Post by MMRanch on 01/10/19 at 06:05:56 Is that one of them "hook the vacuum cleaner to it" bags ? :-? I've got a nylon insulated bib/jacket set too , its nice in down to 20 deg. weather and not to bad after the day warm-up too ! In reality I think its a Snowmobile Suit , but its nice and warm. Have you discovered the "Hippo Hands" yet ? :) |
Title: Re: Packing Post by justin_o_guy2 on 01/10/19 at 08:44:40 No vacuum needed. But, if you Did want vacuum, we have a port on the bike. Dunno how much sukkin it would accomplish. Hippo hands? Ahh, looked it up. I'm okay with the gloves I have. |
Title: Re: Packing Post by Eegore on 01/10/19 at 16:17:53 Is that one of them "hook the vacuum cleaner to it" bags ? I don't know why more motorcyclists don't use these things. I pack for travel consistently and can easily double the amount of content per square inch regarding fabric material using a vacuum sealed system. Even a small hand pump will work as long as you can create a solid seal. Also everything remains clean and waterproof. |
Title: Re: Packing Post by GOF on 01/10/19 at 18:43:05 If my wife were going those bags would have to operate like the tardis. You know. Bigger on the inside than they are on the outside. |
Title: Re: Packing Post by MMRanch on 01/10/19 at 19:29:34 So , my pump (12 Volt) for my air mat can shrink my baggage ? Are we talking about those bags from Harbor Freight ? |
Title: Re: Packing Post by justin_o_guy2 on 01/11/19 at 09:57:51 I'm testing the Ziploc Space bags. You may recognise Ziploc as a trademark name. |
