Post by Dadyo on 12/22/18 at 21:23:49

This is my first attempt at posting pics, also I just sent my first email ever and that worked so I figured why not. [IMG_20181222_195157(26).jpg][/img]

Looks like you landed the site address inside of the first brackets.

Those are some awfully big turn signals! :)  Unless they plug into a wall socket ,you may be in trouble. The bike produces about 10 amps of power ,uses about 7 when running and the remaining 3 to recharge the battery. If those extra lights draw even 18 watts each ,you'll have no power left to recharge the battery, unless you change most of you stock bulbs(or at least your headlight) to LED's.

My neighbor brought them over to day we got to laughing about it and put them on . I figured it would get some laughs. Being my first pic posted and all. This is a very low budget build, so when someone contributes free parts I at least try to have some fun with them. Hopefully after the holidays I can start on the motor nothing to fancy, I just want to get the chassis done and proved out then I'll start on  the motor.

If they aren't led , you'll run the battery down.

They are not led I all ready took them off. My neighbor and I were just messing around that day. I'm trying different things to find my own look .l put the factory light back on and building a mini fairing. This is my second attempt at it, this one is going better than my first one. This build I'm to use either modified factory parts that were on the bike, and creating the rest from whatever I can find. Really low budget. I put the factory light back on and building around that this time. I'm going to try to mod the light, mabe a led upgrade. Now that I can post pics I should start a build thread. Will see how it goes.

Absolutely......start a build thread.

If you just post random parts of the build in different threads, I can't make a link to it in the Bike Builds thread.

When you get ready for an LED....I have tried a bunch and I know the cheapest LED that works well in the stock light fixture.

I'll try to start the build thread later today, and thanks in advance for your help.

If there's anyone out there who is on line on Christmas eve, Merry Christmas! I'm trying to start a new build thread and can't find anything on the search bar, can anyone point me in the right direction?

Merry Christmas!

Verslagen provided you with a link to the Bike Builds listing.  You can look at any of these to see how others have done their threads.  You must start a thread in the Rubber Side Down Section, and after the build progresses I will add it to the Bike Builds listing.  You will need to make a decent amount of progress before it gets added to the list, and these Bike Builds must include a reasonable amount of modification - adding a light or a different muffler or changing mirrors is not sufficient to be included as a "build".  And......you will notice that most of the members include a "name" for their bike build.

Merry Christmas, thank you for the help with the build thread process. I'm gonna have to go back and strart at the beginning, I'm in the middle of body mods and lights. So I'll have to get back to it later tonight.

I'm trying to figure out how that bike was ridden.....that caused the front tire to wear out like that! :-?

I believe it was over inflated when I got it almost 4 years ago and I never messed with it. It didn't go flat, no prob LOL . The back one did go flat at about 70 I replaced it and the tube. I got every rotation out of it though. LOL  seriously though I'm gonna put new ones on this year. And pay a lot better attention to them I swear.

Sorry about the time lapse on my build thead, I had to switch to my daughters minibike build. I painted it for her Christmas present. As for my build I think I'm gonna name it the kitchen sink.lol . In the middle of paint prep I stopped by my local scrap yard and found a nearly complete 85 gs 450 and got a whole bunch of stuff, rims , mufflers brackets for the rear sets that double up as mounting points for the muffler. Lots of test fitting in the near future.
