I've seen this guy around town a few times. This morning was the first chance to get a pic of his rig. But that look she's giving me just feels like one of those "What the ____ you lookin at?"

AAAAAAND - it comes with a trailer hitch!

How much can you pull with just "1 horsepower" ?

You'll also note that's the extended cab model pickup.

There's a lot here that meets the eye,  solid front axle and tie rod ends, the heavier wheels in the back to support the load weight , and what appears to be drum brakes to protect the wagon and horse when going down steep hills under heavy load.  One hP is listed as LIFTING 550 lbs /one foot /per second, I would think a horse could PULL somewhat more weight rolling on wheels. It may be that the trailer hitch isn't as crazy as it might seem.It may be to used to haul oversized goods that are to long to fit in the wagon(lumber?)

I bet the horse is hating life when he sees you hooking up the boat for a day at the lake. ;D

Little does that horse know, they're about to head over to the rail yard and hook up a trailer pulling one of those rail containers in the background  ;D ;D ;D

I'm a little surprised the bishop approved chrome motorcycle wheels. And isn't that a 13 spoke Harley bolted to the drum brake on back? Appears to have torsion bar suspension in contrast to the usual leaf springs.

That's one progressive bishop.

He'd better stay off the Tail of the Dragon.  With those sissy strips on the front tires he's sure to wind up sliding off the mountain!

What does an Amish boat look like?
Can't be more than a 14' dory.
8-)

I know a guy that lives in our "Southern tier". When ever he gets his Ford pick up stuck in the snow he has the Amish guy down the road bring his team down. It's amazing what "two horsepower" can pull.

The Amish are quite handy at wood working , so I imagine a very well made wooden boat of some sort with 2 ornately carved oars !
I'm also seeing electric lights on his wagon most likely powered by a deep cycle battery , so it must also have a thumpin sound system as well.
I don't know squat about the Amish but I do admire how they live as they do in this crazy world that the rest of us call normal ! ?

Most around here are full LED, so more power for the young guy's sound systems. There was one guy who would come past my place and I would here his bass thumping long before I could hear the clomp of the horse hooves.

And trailers are quite common, including occasional boats.
