My only brother, who was just 13 months older than me, passed away this morning on his 67th birthday.....

He refused to give up smoking.

The blood in his lungs, drowned him to the point it oozed out his mouth.

Please, think of Jim, when you light up your next smoke.

So sorry to hear. I quit 46 years ago, my doctor can still hear the effects when I breathe.

Sorry to hear about the loss of your brother.....that has to be horribly hard to lose a sibling. We are unfortunately of an age where our expiration date get nearer each day.

The engineering/surveying company I just retired from had only 1 smoker. Every morning when he arrived he would be coughing and hacking and just seemed miserable - I wanted to ask him if he noticed that he was the only one who had such trouble breathing each morning....but I kept my mouth shut and kept my thoughts to myself. In hindsight - maybe that wasn't the right choice.

My brother and I were the last two kids of 5, the older ones, ALL sisters, so it was him and I, as one might imagine.
We went through pretty much every event in life, together, until adulthood gets in the way of Tom Sawyer and Huckleberry.....
Life was so innocent back then.
Just fishing in some little mud hole was enough to sustain us.

FRUCK tobacco. profits, why?
Is money all that GAWD DA_N important?

Sure would be nice for another passover, of all the first born to tobacco executives :(

Sorry for your loss. Quitting smoking is not easy, level of nicotine addiction is between meth and heroin so some will never quit. It took having a heart attack to make me quit. 10 weeks without a smoke and still crave them , especially today , working with 2 idiots they should be glad I don't carry a gun , both would rat out their own mothers ! ;D ;D ;D

And you know, and I know, ain't a dang thing wrong with living in reality, heck, its fun, cuz its consistent, AND sustainable, no wasting energy on carrying around all that extra baggage of BS ;D

God bless you and your brother. My first wife and I smoked for over 30 years. We finally quit about 11 years ago. 5 years after we quit she got the news that she had stage 4 lung cancer. She died 19 days later.

If you smoke. Quit now.

Sorry about the loss of your older brother. It is difficult to quit smoking and more so for some individuals than others.
