Not sure the title is right for this but I am purchasing screws and bolts that hold things like the belt guard, frame covers, etc in place. When I look on Ron Ayers there are several different models of Savage and some of them have different part numbers for the screws and bolts. How do I tell what model I have? Is there some secret message encode in the VIN that I am unaware of?

Most of the nuts/bolts are identical....they length of the bolts changed changed for the chrome rails along the rear fender (sissy bar mount vs. no mount), other nuts bolts have different numbers as the finish color (chrome/silver/black) as the color of the cylinder or engine cases changed from silver to black.
