If you want to go crazy on a bike build,.. the Savage is the bike to do it.  :)

I'm pretty sure those are Ed's forward controls on there, or maybe not, they sure look similar.

I believe Armen and his drill could take some weight off those forward control mounts! ;)

Yeah, "crazy" is a relative term.  I don't love it, but delete a few things here and there (like the dual headlights, humungous forward control mounts, and anything green, oh and possibly the overstated sissy bar)  and it would be fine.  It's all subjective.

So basically make it into a standard Savage, then  ;D

Haha, no, I'd ditch the 15" rear wheel and put a skinny 18" or 19", skinny tire rear wheel too.  I actually don't care much for the standard Savage.   Not really my style bike in stock form, but I love seeing what people do with them.  That's what makes this forum so cool IMO.  :)

I love this

and this build made from the ST400 Tempter above

Well, that's not really a bobber or chopper style build like the "crazy" one I posted.  I was talking about that bike specifically.  I'd make it a little more period correct.

As for "standards", I love them.  That's what I did with mine.

Very nice and a huge improvement on the stock machine IMO. YMMV.

Eager, you've got a keen [ch128065]! (No pun intended!) I thought the same, they sure resemble the ones on my bike, that are from Ed!
