Title: Fuel tanks Post by Diamond T on 06/25/18 at 20:14:33 I have been trying to find a good used fuel tank, but haven't been able to. so looking on bike bandit I can buy a 2017 tank new fully painted, is there any difference between fuel tanks except the color mine is a 2002 all the older tanks are on back order |
Title: Re: Fuel tanks Post by batman on 06/25/18 at 20:23:56 There are differences between CA tanks and 49 state tanks .CA tanks used unvented gas caps and had an internal line that came from a charcoal canister. all other tanks are same/same except color and side emblems. |

Mostly true, CA (california) tanks have a inlet in the gas cap. |

It really doesn't make any difference - you can use either tank. If you get a California model, you can plug the vent tube. |
