Title: Carb Cleaning Thoughts....
Post by edison on 05/30/18 at 17:43:43

First off, thanks to all here who assisted me with  great advice for cleaning my carb....the bike is now running very well!
Without the assurance of technical support here, I doubt I would have tried taking it apart and cleaning it myself. The one issue I had was taking out the float pivot  pin - I believe it was bucked in place....I took a Dremel tool to it to take it down but stopped because I didn't want to break the mount after trying to tap it out.

Anyway, I have one left over washer that I can't seem to place....it fell off when I moved the seat or tank....does anyone recognize it?   ::)

Oh no! Not that!

that's the speedo seal.  you'll have to disassemble half the engine to put it back.

jk, remove the speedo cable from the case and put it in the bottom of the cable.

Yes, grooved side always goes to the pressure side.  It energizes the seal.
