Title: Brake/ Clutch Lever Replacement
Post by Quantm1366 on 05/14/18 at 03:58:28

Are there any 'gotchas' i need to know about if I want to change out my brake and clutch levers? I know that the length of lever pull can effect how the clutch engages, etc anything else I need to know about?

If anyone has done this which levers did you go with?

Thanks in advance

Why the change? chrome ? or is it the fit/shape? If you have smaller hands the shape could be altered by rubbing soap on the lever and heating until the soap turns black and bending ,the levers will return to their hardend state by air cooling, but you need to be careful that they aren't to close to the grips not to allow function .If your looking for chrome ,I'm not aware of any direct replacement.

I am looking for black ones, that are smaller. Not because I have tiny hands, just looking for a sleeker look than the giant wings that are the stock levers. I have swapped out the mirrors for a sleeker black mirror, and now the levers stick out like a sore thumb.

Electric shrink tube? black paint? Or you might find a place to have them anodized black.
