Title: confused about the raptor.. Post by Tobias dk on 04/16/18 at 05:01:50 hi guys, i have a question.. i have changed my stock petcock to the raptor, hoping to aleviate a problem with stalling. but i am looking at all the little nozzles on the carb, and can't figure out what to do with them. i know where to connect the fuel hose, and am pretty sure where to plug the vacuum. but is that it?? Post by Dave on 04/16/18 at 05:07:56 The long tube that goes between the left side of the carb and the vacuum petcock is removed, and the spigot/nipple on the carb will need to be plugged to prevent a vacuum leak. You can either put a rubber cap on the carb (neatest approach), or you can put a bolt in the petcock end of the hose. The larger/shorter tube is the fuel hose to the left side of the carb.....you need to keep that. |
Title: Re: confused about the raptor.. Post by Tobias dk on 04/16/18 at 08:33:38 Okay, I got that part down! But there are two more nozzles on my carbureator, one on each side.. Those are currently just unplugged, is that okay? |
Title: Re: confused about the raptor.. Post by Serowbot on 04/16/18 at 08:38:07 Those are vent tubes,... they remain unplugged. They are there to allow the float bowl to breathe,.. otherwise gas couldn't get in. 8-) |

When the bike was new....each of those had a black tube that extended upward and they ended inside the top center frame tube. If you don't have those tubes...you should get some. |
Title: Re: confused about the raptor.. Post by justin_o_guy2 on 04/16/18 at 09:51:03 They are just vents. And as such, are openings into the carburetor. As Dave said, you need a piece of tubing on each one, run the open end up inside the frame to keep stuff out. |
