Title: Handlebar fit from RYCA Post by Eegore on 04/11/18 at 11:58:19 Will these bars fit on a 1995? https://shop.rycamotors.com/1_inch_narrow_ape_hangar_handlebars_8_inch_black_dimpled_for_harley.html States "Does not fit throttle by wire models" I don't know what that is. I'm looking to replace the buckhorns with something that isn't so far back but all I can find are Frisco or Z-bars. |
Title: Re: Handlebar fit from RYCA Post by Gary_in_NJ on 04/11/18 at 12:25:22 Some HD's have electric throttles (throttle by wire) that communicate with the ECU, rather than a cable that operates a carb or throttle body (for fuel injection). The bars you linked are 1" bars, so they should be plug-n-play. |
Title: Re: Handlebar fit from RYCA Post by Eegore on 04/11/18 at 12:34:35 I wasn't sure if the dimples would be an issue either. What I want is the buckhorns to have less pullback and drop. If I could pry them forward it would be fine. Unfortunately all I can do is guess as to what bar will fit that best. |
Title: Re: Handlebar fit from RYCA Post by batman on 04/11/18 at 12:43:03 If the handle bars are knurled ,you may not want them as HD risers are set closer ,so the knurling will show inside the Suzuki risers. |
Title: Re: Handlebar fit from RYCA Post by Shrulk on 04/11/18 at 18:21:15 [img]I bought 1in bars called the 9"mini apes. Paid about $100 shipped and love them. As batman said the HD bars will show the knurling outside of the risers if you care. I dont. |
Title: Re: Handlebar fit from RYCA Post by Eegore on 04/11/18 at 19:21:34 Im not too concerned about the knurling showing. Do you have an image of the 9" apes installed? |
Title: Re: Handlebar fit from RYCA Post by Quantm1366 on 04/11/18 at 21:15:16 Was the cabling for the controls long enough? I wanted a similar type bar, but didn't want to have to re-cable everything. |
