Title: Throttle issues Post by Zonablazer on 03/26/18 at 08:31:24 All, Recently I've been having some issues getting the bike to start. Normal procedure is to pull the choke wide open and give her a start. Lately though she's been having issues even with the choke open (probably cold weather). However, once I drop the choke she wants to cut off unless I give it some gas and i really have to crank the throttle. This also applies when i push the choke in and start to drive. With very little throttle it almost wants to die but if I give the throttle a hard crank it acts fine. After warming up it appears to idle fine but once I start to give it some gas slowly it doesn't like it. Makes me feel like a racer having to rip the throttle every time i go from stop to go, just to keep it from dying. Could it be a dirty carb or stuck float? Any ideas? Some notes: - stored over winter - needs an oil change (will do that today) - needs a carb clean (will also do that today) -Zona |

Title: Re: Throttle issues Post by Zonablazer on 03/26/18 at 12:29:44 That's what I thought too and glad to have you chime in Dave. I'll admit, I didn't drain the float bowl so that's probably what the problem is. |
